German Heritage Society and the Salzburgers presented the Savannah Philharmonic a check for $10,500 in a ceremony this week. The money will sponsor soloists from Savannah’s Sister City, Halle, Germany. The Interdant of the Halle Opera, Axel Kohler and the Halle Arts Council; Sabine Proschel; Savannah Mayor Edna Jackson; Alderwoman Mary Ellen Sprague; Alderwoman At Large Carol Bell; David Mason, president of the German Heritage Society; and other dignitaries attended the event.
