Savannah Philharmonic Announces 3rd Annual “Jazz at the Beach”
Savannah, GA – The North Beach Bar & Grill will host the third annual “Jazz at the Beach,” a fundraiser to benefit the Savannah Philharmonic, on Saturday, April 20 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Patrons will enjoy a relaxing afternoon of delicious food and
friendship while listening to the upbeat tunes of Velvet Caravan and bidding on unique silent auction items. Event sponsors include the North Beach Bar and Grill, Regions Bank, and Connect Savannah. All proceeds will go directly to the Savannah Philharmonic
to fund their operating budget.
Combining Gypsy, honky-tonk, swing and Latin influences, the eclectic sounds of Velvet Caravan will provide an exciting musical backdrop while guests enjoy a delectable range of culinary offerings with a Caribbean flair and peruse exclusive auction items.
Highlights include original oil paintings by noted Savannah artist June Stratton, Chanel beauty products, distinctive fashion jewelry, china and porcelain collectibles, an interior decorating consultation by Anne Hagerty of Anne Hagerty Interiors, Tybee mini vacations, and more. A cash bar will also be available, along with a special tropical drink created just for the occasion. The 2013 Jazz at the Beach Co-Chairs are Phyllis Albertson and Kerry Rosen. As Phyllis explains, “The Philharmonic sponsors three major signature events each year. ‘Jazz at the Beach’ is our most casual party and appeals to a wide range of supporters. The guest list typically encompasses a more varied and younger crowd than the monthly concerts. It is a fun gathering that helps the Philharmonic reach new audiences while building a broader base of support for the organization.” An enthusiastic Kerry continues, “Whether you live in town or at the beach, we hope you’ll join us at Tybee for this fun gathering to celebrate our own Savannah Philharmonic.
