Savannah Philharmonic Announces “Afternoon Adagio”

Savannah, GA – The Savannah Philharmonic will host its second annual “Afternoon  Adagio” fundraiser on Saturday, February 9 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Olde Pink  House. Attendees will enjoy a refined afternoon of champagne, exotic teas and delectable delicacies while listening to the enchanting melodies of harpist Kristin King and violinist  Jadde Nolty in the restaurant’s magnificently restored ballroom. Guests will also be able  to peruse exclusive silent auction items while competing for unique prizes in the high fashion hat and tea pot competitions. Event sponsors include The Olde Pink House, United Community Bank, the Savannah Tea Room, and National Distributing Company. Funds raised by the Afternoon Adagio event will benefit the Savannah Philharmonic’s operating budget.
At 1:00 pm, guests will enter via a receiving line and will be greeted by event chair Rhegan White-Clemm, the Savannah Philharmonic’s Board Chair Melissa Emery, and Executive Director David Pratt. Champagne will be passed, followed by afternoon tea service, including a traditional assortment of savory tea sandwiches and a scrumptious medley of scones and jams. Desserts will include a delightful range of tarts, cookies and chocolates. A selection of light classical music will be performed throughout the
afternoon.
Notable highlights from the silent auction include dinner for ten at the Oakridge Clubhouse at The Landings with four courses and wine pairings; a round of golf for four at the Westin; a framed original charcoal by June Stratton; an original oil painting by
Larry Levow; exclusive fashions from Scottish Mills; a commemorative millennium bottle of Dom Perignon champagne; English tea service for eight served in the winning bidder’s home; a shopping spree donated by various Broughton Street merchants; an
antique tea service for eight; a designer necklace from Gaucho; dinner for two at The Lady and Sons; a framed photo by John Taylor; and two tickets to the Savannah Philharmonic’s Season Finale concert with a champagne reception at intermission.
